How do parents order books?
Teachers don't have to manage orders; we've got it! We’ll send ready-made emails and custom order forms to teachers to send to parents. Parents are under no obligation to purchase books, however those that do will place all orders online. Then, we ship books directly to the classroom for the teacher to distribute.
How long does it take to create a classroom book?
Teachers spend, on average, 60 to 120 minutes with their students teaching Six-Word Memoirs and completing their classroom book. Some teachers choose to allocate additional time for editing and revision. The beauty of the six-word format is its flexibility. Some teachers decide to use it as bell and exit work, while others use it in a more substantive way to teach planning, writing, revising, and editing.
Do teachers have to pay for a classroom book?
No! While books are available to parents for purchase, we’ll make sure that when we send your class their box of books to distribute on Celebration Day, it includes a free copy for the teacher.
